Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. Matthew Matt James was a mixed race son of Manny James (of Jamaican descent) as well as Patty James. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor's degree from Economics in the year 2015. James became famous when his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality television star. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25, making him The first African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James is the perfect choice for the role, since he's rounded, tall and has good humor. The show concluded when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to start an affair with her. He teamed up with the well-known dancing star Arnold in 2021 to compete on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th place.
